JESS DYER
Hey there! I’m Jess.

Most days you can find me with a cup of tea or a smoothie in hand, with my denim shorts and comfy vest top, slippers or bare feet and my hair tied up like a pineapple!

I am mostly known for my smiley face, my passion for health, creating healthy edible eats in the kitchen and helping people in whatever way I can.

I am a Nutritional Therapist and Personal Trainer and couldn't love my job more. I see it as a true gift to be able to help people with their health & fitness. The reward I feel when I know I've made a difference to someone's internal world is priceless. The restored confidence people have when they are wearing the clothes they feel comfortable in and they have tons of energy despite eating MORE than they did previously, with no 'dieting' or calorie counting in sight is truly life changing. Empowering people with the tools to fuel themselves deliciously and optimally...I love it.

The things that I am most passionate about are my family, my gorgeous husband Tom and my girlfriends. I love simple things; sitting on the rocks in the sunshine with a picnic, people watching in a cute cafe with a book in hand, or enjoying a bubble bath in a candle-lit room with essential oils.

I love travelling, enjoying meaningful conversations with people and I love exercising; at the moment I'm into Hatha yoga, hiking and HIIT, but I like to vary it up and do whatever makes my body feel great.

When I am not doing that, you'll catch me in my kitchen experimenting away making green juice lollies, various different kinds of hummus (my absolute favourite) or something chocolatey - I have a sweet tooth so anything with cacao or chocolate tasting is an instant winner!

We use my favourite recipes at our Health & Fitness Retreats that we run on our home island here in Menorca and the Guests LOVE them; they're the highlight of the whole stay for a lot of people as it amazes people how tasty healthy food can be.

My bucket list is huge! Top on my list is to own a dog! I'd love a Bernese Mountain dog and I know exactly what I'm going to call him, though I'll keep that a surprise incase one day my husband Tom caves in and finally gives me the green light to have one!! He doesn't like big or hairy dogs...a slight kink in the plan! Next up is going to Sanoviv Medical Institute in Mexico. I'd like to have a health MOT there and enjoy two weeks of yoga, meditation and cooking courses with some of my closest family members there as well. My third adventure I'd like to do is a trip to New Zealand with my hubby, exploring the incredible scenery in a camper van.

If that's not enough, & you'd like to know more, here are a 5 things that you might not know….

1. I worked in an orangutang sanctuary in Borneo for a month when I was 18. I looked after an orphaned orang called Gus who was just the sweetest little monkey.
2. I'm scared of spiders; I saw an NLP practitioner twice and my fear is a lot better, but I much prefer creatures with fewer legs!
3. My favourite colour is 'dusty pink'.
4. My favourite fruit is watermelon.
5. I'm obsessed with foot massages/squeezes, I even wove it into our wedding vows so my hubby could agree (infront of witnesses) to massage them every night! On the nights he does, I fall asleep and feel like I'm in heaven.

TOM DYER
Hey there, I’m Tom Dyer.

My home is in Menorca, Spain.

I am mostly known for Personal Training/Coaching either online or in person here on the island.

People often refer to me as someone who takes pride in what they do and getting lasting results is important to me. I love serving the world by helping people improve their health and self image.

The things I am most passionate about in life are my Nutritionist wife Jess, my family, adventuring outdoors, hiking, snorkelling and travelling the world.

I work with people who are time poor who deserve results. Every one of us is different, so treating everyone as a unique individual helps get sustainable results.

I coach people online in all areas of health and fitness, the most important (in my eyes) being the creation of lasting change. There are so many 'fad diets' that can work short-term, but if the underlying habits are not rewired, weight gain happens soon after the diet/programme stops.

I also train people online through Skype & Zoom calls which works really well as long as there is space in your home to do so: minimal kit is required!

Online coaching starts with 12 week plans where some great and lasting change can be achieved.

As a writer, I’ve been honoured to be invited to contribute to various magazines and journals over the years including Men's Health magazine and Men's Fitness magazine. I have been featured as a model in many fitness publications too, but the one I am most proud of is an advert for a lean protein shake taken from a photo shoot I did on my 40th birthday a few years ago. It was a personal goal of mine to get in great shape and health, and the photo reflected that success.

I also speak at International conferences, specialising in habit change and other fitness related subjects. To date, I have spoken in the UK, USA, France & Holland.

When I’m not busy working, you can catch me travelling. My wife and I travel to the US every year & we always look to get a trip in to a National Park. I highly recommend Zion, Bryce Canyon, Arches and Canyonlands Parks if you get the chance to visit them. We're looking to go to Yellowstone next after being inspired by the Yellowstone documentary on Netflix which was INCREDIBLE!

If you’re dying to hear more, here are five things you might not know about me...

1. I lived in Paris, France in the late 90's working as a Personal Trainer by day and a party promotor by night (an interesting mix). The best party by far was the evening when France won the World Cup in 1998 and the French team went to Les Bains in Paris (the Top club back in those days). Jack Nicholson, Bono, Jonny Depp, Vanessa Paradis and many others were there, all so happy! No pretences, just fun and celebrations.
2. I worked on a bungee jump site in Rhodes, Greece for a summer season in my early twenties. That job had it's ups and downs ;-)
3. I have a sweet tooth and Snickers are my go-to treat. I love them.
4. I was born in Norfolk, England so my favourite team is Norwich City FC.
5. I had a stroke whilst hiking up Table Mountain in December 2017. After being hospitalised for two weeks, not being able to walk, my speech affected and I had serious double vision, I was then airlifted with a nurse back to Europe. I has thankfully made an extremely fast recovery. My stroke was caused by a genetic abnormality, unlike most strokes, and I attribute my survival and full recovery to my optimum health when it happened, and positive mindset.

Having been through such a health ordeal it made me realise how health truly is our greatest wealth. I now work with stroke charities and am actively involved in expanding stroke awareness through speaking, writing and media.

KNOW ABOUT US
1.
We tied the knot on the 25th June 2016 in Menorca - it felt like a day out of Mama Mia & ignited our dream to live on the island.

2.
95% of the time you'll catch us bare feet & in shorts, though invite us to an occasion & we LOVE an excuse to get dressed up!

3.
We're sunshine seekers & enjoy a lunchtime siesta, hence our choice to live an island life. Being outdoors makes us both feel :-)
